Spence Dena, Ms
Ms. Spence is a Lecturer in the Economics Division of the School of Business Administration (SOBA). She has been lecturing at the University of Technology since September 2017. She holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree with a major in Economics and a minor in Statistics. She also holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Economics and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Mathematics Education. Her teaching interests lie in microeconomics, macroeconomics and mathematics. Her research interests lie in the areas of Labour Economics, Education Economics, Environmental Economics and Econometrics; ranging from qualitative to quantitative research, preferably quantitative, as she is an avid lover of Mathematics and Statistical Analysis.
In the Economics Division, Ms. Spence teaches undergraduate courses in macroeconomics, microeconomics, quantitative reasoning and critical thinking. She also assists with the coordination of certain initiatives proposed by the division, for example, student webinars, research forums and high school workshops.
