Mrs. Rosalee Mighton-Sawyers is a lecturer and programme director in the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management. Over thirty-seven (37) years of experience in the Hospitality and Tourism Industry has afforded her the knowledge, competence and attitude required to mold students for careers in this dynamic industry.
Mrs. Mighton-Sawyers has a Master of Arts in Teaching - Adult Education, (The Mico University College), M. Sc. Human Resource Management (UWI- Mona) and a B.Sc. Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management (University of South Carolina - USA). She is a proud graduate of the College of Arts, Science and Technology (CAST), where she completed the Diploma in Dietetic and Nutrition.
She has a strong desire for continuous learning and as such she has achieved a wide range of professional certification. She is a certified ISO 9001:2000 Lead Auditor and is certified by the Institute of Risk Management and the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply. She has a Level 3 Award in HACCP for Food Manufacturing from the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.
Mrs. Mighton-Sawyers is goal-oriented and possesses special expertise in auditing, research, curriculum development and human resource development.
