Auld Shernett, Mrs

Mrs Shernett Auld’s teaching and research focus are on Accounting and Education.  Areas of interest include contemporary issues in accounting education, as well as leadership in higher education.  A particular focus of Mrs Auld most recent research is on exploring the transition that faculty make from the classroom to higher education leadership positions.  From this research, Mrs. Auld hopes to gain a better understanding of the challenges that faculty face as they make the transition and develop specific recommendations about how universities might deal more effectively with these challenges.

In the School of Business Administration, Mrs Auld teaches Fundamentals of Accounting, Introduction to Financial Accounting, Introduction to Costing, Management Accounting, Accounting for Food Services Organization and Accounting Seminar.  A passionate and dedicated educator, she consistently strives to enhance her students’ learning, growth and development through the use of a range of innovative teaching strategies and technologies. Mrs Auld is also committed to service and has served as Chair of the College of Business & Management Community Service Committee for the Academic Year 2018/19.
