University of Technology, Jamaica

• ANNUAL REPORT 2014-2015

The Advancement Division strengthens the public

image of the University; maintains vibrant and effective

communication with the University’s publics, and builds

harmonious relations with stakeholders to facilitate

successful engagement of support for the University

through resource mobilization and activities by various

offices or groups. The Division is structured under the

Office of President.

Marketing Plan

The University in collaboration with consultants,

OGM Integrated Communications, has developed

a comprehensive marketing plan which includes a

corporate communication campaign designed to

develop and raise the profile of the UTech, Jamaica

Brand and promote a sense of belonging among all

stakeholders. Several advertising collateral material

have been produced for the campaign which includes

outdoor, print, television and on-line advertisements.

The talents used in the campaign include distinguished

UTech, Jamaica alumnui, Hon. Kenny Benjamin, OJ,

Mrs. Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, OD and Mr Patrick

Hylton, CD.

Showcasing UTech, Jamaica at the Denbigh Agricultural

Show

Seven Colleges/Faculties participated in the annual

Denbigh Agricultural Show which was held from Friday,

August 1 to Sunday August 3, 2014. Other exhibitors

from the university were the Caribbean Poison

Prevention Network, Student Recruitment, Student’s

Union and the UTech, Jamaica Academy. Over the

three-day period, approximately three thousand six

hundred (3,600) persons visited the UTech, Jamaica

booth. Among the visitors were Governor General the
