Gary “Butch” Hendrickson, CD, JP, innovative industry leader, astute businessman and philanthropist, will be keynote speaker at UTech, Jamaica’s annual Research, Technology and Innovation Day scheduled for Thursday, March 14, 2019 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at the Shared Facilities Building, Papine Campus.  The University’s annual Research, Technology and Innovation Day is being held under the theme, “Research and Innovation…Fuelling a Bright Future.”

Hendrickson who has over 35 years of leadership and management experience is Chief Executive Officer of Continental Baking Company limited, Jamaica’s largest baking company and Coconut Bay Beach Resort and Spa in St. Lucia.

The one- day research and innovation showcase will feature exhibits from recent and innovative research by staff and students across the University’s three Colleges and five Faculties.  The research day will also include a Speakers’ Forum which will run from 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm and will feature over 20 wide-ranging presentations on high impact research and innovation being pursued in the many areas of specialization in which the University teaches and researches.
