by Professor Emeritus Abraham Anthony Chen from
the University of the West Indies’ Mona Campus and
its title was “Mitigation of Climate Change: Report
of Working Group III, IPCC 5th Assessment and
Implications for Jamaica”.
Eighteen (18) presenters, including one each from
Suriname and Australia contributed to seven (7)
scientific sessions.

the keynote address at the 3rd International Scientific Conference hosted by
the Faculty of Science and Sport, UTech, Ja. on Wednesday, June 25, 2014
at its Papine campus.
Linkages
For the period under review, UTech, Jamaica continued
collaboration with the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF)
to deliver football coaching courses. Five (5) courses
were held affecting over 130 coaches.
Partnership with Netball Jamaica also continued,
with the Caribbean School of Sport Sciences hosting
the 3rd Cohort for the UTech, Jamaica/NJ Netball
Coaching Course at the Papine Campus. The 60-hour
course conducted over six weekends,
ran from September to November 2014
at the end of which 14 participants were
certified.
