School of Technical and Vocational Education

Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Apparel Design, Production & Management (UBAADPADXU1A)

  • 5 CSEC/GCE O-Level passes in English Language, Mathematics and 3 other approved subjects
  • Associate Degree/Certificate in Fashion Designing
  • Diploma in Garment Construction; Operators of Apparel Businesses
  •  An interview is required.
Bachelor of Education in Technical and Vocational Education (BEd TVET) in Business & Computer Studies with an option in one of the following:
 - Office Systems & Technology (UBTBCSOFXU1A)
 - Business Studies (UBTBUCSFXU1A)
 - Computing with Accounting (UBTBCSCFXU1A
  • 5 CSEC/GCE O-Level subjects including English Language and Mathematics,
  • OR a 3-year Teachers’ Diploma in Secondary Education.  
  • A CSEC/GCE O-Level pass in Information Technology or 80 hours of instruction in computing would be an asset (for the Computer Technology option).  
  • Passes in two (2) business subjects would be beneficial for those seeking to enrol in the Business Studies option. 
  • All applicants are required to sit an interview.

Bachelor of Education in Technical and Vocational Education (BEd TVET) in Food Service Production and Management (UBTFSPMFXU1A)

  • 5 CSEC/GCE O-Level passes in English Language, Mathematics and 3 other approved subjects (Sciences or related subjects)  (Home Economics subjects are an asset) 
  • OR a 3-year Teachers’ Diploma in Specialization.  
  • Individuals are required to sit an interview.
Bachelor of Education (BEd TVET) Specialization in Industrial Technology with a single major in one of the following:
- Construction Technology
- Electrical Technology
The following major/minors are also available:
- Mechanical/Electrical 
  • 5 CSEC/GCE O-Level passes including English Language, Mathematics, and three other approved subjects (Sciences or Technical) or 
  • PEC/ PET courses at prescribed level OR a 3-year Teachers’ Diploma in Specialization.  
  • Individuals are required to sit an interview.

Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Entertainment Design, Production and Technology (UBSEDPTFXU1A)

  • 5 CSEC/GCE O-Level passes including English Language, Mathematics, and 2 other subjects in a related field (design and technology, industrial arts, theatre arts, etc.) OR
  • 3 CSEC/GCE O-Level passes, inclusive of Mathematics and English Language, PLUS TWO NCTVET Levels 2 or 3 or equivalent qualifications from other accredited bodies/institutions (e.g. City & Guilds, CVQ) as determined by the NCTVET.
  • Or Matriculation via Prior Learning Assessment

Associate of Science in Entertainment Design, Production and Technology (UASEDPTFX1A)

  • 5 CSEC/GCE O-Level passes including English Language and 4 other subjects in a related field (design and technology, industrial arts, theatre arts, etc.) OR
  • 3 CSEC/GCE O-Level passes, inclusive of Mathematics and English Language, PLUS TWO NCTVET Levels 2 or 3 or equivalent qualifications from other accredited bodies/institutions (e.g. City & Guilds, CVQ) as determined by the NCTVET.
  • Or Matriculation via Prior Learning Assessment

Associate of Arts in Image Consulting and Fashion Styling (UAAICFSFXU1A)

  • 5 CSEC/GCE O-Level passes including English Language and 4 other subjects in a related field 
  • OR 3 CSEC/GCE O-Level passes including English Language PLUS TWO NCTVET Level 2 or 3 AND/OR equivalent qualification from other accredited bodies (e.g. City & Guilds, CVQ) as determined by NCTVET PLUS 1 City & Guilds subject in related area (at stage 3)
  • Or Matriculation via Prior Learning Assessment
