Steps to Apply for Academic Year 2025/26

ll applicants are encouraged to apply online.  The online process is FREE and is designed to make the submission of your application as easy and accurate as possible and should last approximately 20 minutes. Ensure that you have a personal email address, this will be required to complete your application.

  1. Read the Summary of Undergraduate Courses of Study or the Summary of Graduate Courses of Study to identify your 1st and 2nd choice of course of study.
  2. Click on “Apply Online”
  3. Click on “Start a new application”.
  4. Complete all four (4) sections and submit your application online. 
  5. Print application confirmation page.
  6. Supporting Documents should be

OR

Sent by registered mail or courier: Admissions and Enrolment, University of Technology, Jamaica, 237 Old Hope Road, Kingston or 17 Dome Street, Montego Bay, Jamaica.

Delivered in person to the Admission Office at University of Technology, Jamaica, 237 Old Hope Road, Kingston or 17 Dome Street, Montego Bay, Jamaica.
         



Submission of  Supporting Documents

Undergraduate Applicant

To complete your application to the University the online confirmation page and all supporting documents should be uploaded to: https://ecommerce.utech.edu.jm/Application/uploaddocs.asp  no later than December 2, 2024 for Early Bird applications; and no later than March 31, 2025 for Regular Applications. Applicants pending qualifications/results should ensure to email certified copy of birth certificate, then may submit results and other documents by the deadline. 

Graduate Applicant

To complete your application to the University the online confirmation page and all supporting documents should uploaded to: https://ecommerce.utech.edu.jm/Application/uploaddocs.asp no later than May 30, 2025 for August 2025 start and no later than August 29, 2025 for January 2026 start.

 

Certified Documentary Evidence

Copies of academic, birth (Jamaican Birth Certificate or Jamaican Certificate of Citizenship) and marriage (if applicable) certificates along with your Tax Registration Number (TRN) must be submitted along with the completed application form. Copies of passports may also be submitted. These copies must be certified and stamped only by a Minister of Religion, Justice of the Peace, Attorney-at-Law or Medical Practioner.

ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS SHOULD ONLY BE SUBMITTED UPON REQUEST BY THE UNIVERSITY.

Documents that have been tampered with will not be accepted and the applicant will forfeit chances of admission to the University.

Transcripts from other tertiary institutions must also be submitted by the closing date for receipt of applications.  It is not necessary to obtain a transcript from a secondary school.
