The University of Technology, Jamaica (UTech, Jamaica) seeks to identify a suitable candidate to fill the following post:
Senior Director Assets and Business Management – Level 11 (Permanent)
Salary range: $5,904,138.00 p.a. - $6,921,511.00 p.a.
The Senior Director of Business and Asset Administration is responsible for implementing policies for budgeting control and investment management, reviewing business proposals and advising the University on all potential business activities. The Senior Director is also responsible for managing and coordinating the University’s budget; overseeing the University’s concessionaires including but not limited to ensuring that all leases/rentals remain current, appropriate fees are charged, and the University’s interests are protected. He/she will also be required to maintain a strong relationship with all leaders throughout the University; train staff in budget management practices and cost control and function as an advisor to all Income Generating Centres.
Academic Requirements:
The preferred applicant should possess:
- At least an MBA specializing in Finance or equivalent qualifications from a recognized Higher Educational Institution.
Additional Requirements:
The applicants should also have:
- Knowledge of the University’s financial and investment policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of business practices, financial reporting, and cost projections.
- Sound knowledge of financial analysis techniques.
- Knowledge of project management principles, practices, techniques and tools.
- Sound knowledge of budgeting and cost control procedures.
- Knowledge of fixed asset management including acquisition and disposals.
- At least five (5) years related experience at a management level.
