The University of Technology, Jamaica (UTech, Jamaica) seeks to identify a suitable candidate to fill the following post:
Maintenance Manager – Level 9 (Permanent)
Salary range: $4,124,567.00 - $4,885,315.00 p.a.
The incumbent is responsible for managing, planning and coordinating activities and resources required for the proper security conditions of the building facilities of the University and the day-to-day repairs, maintenance and new construction of the assets of the University.
Academic Requirements:
The preferred applicant should possess:
· Bachelor Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering/Maintenance Management, or a related discipline
· Post Graduate certification in a related field
· at least five (5) years’ experience in facilities management
Additional Requirements:
The applicants should also have:
- sound knowledge of construction and service contract documents and specifications
- general knowledge of various skilled trades (plumbing, electrical systems repair and installation)
- comprehensive knowledge of ground maintenance including electronics, plumbing and electrical systems
- knowledge of budgeting, cost estimates and environmental policies affecting facility maintenance
- excellent administrative, communication, human relations, interpersonal and supervisory skills
- advanced level Microsoft Office Suite skills and database management tools
- working knowledge of UTech policies and procedures
