Tips on Moderating a Session

Preparation

• Find a comfortable place with a suitable background and no distractions.
• Before your first session visit ➙ Creating BbC Sessions.
• Ensure your webcam and microphone is working. For best results, use headphones with a built-in microphone.

In Session

• Be sure to join the session 10 – 15 minutes prior to the start.
• Setup your audio and video when you first join a session. (For a better experience, leave microphones turned off until you need to speak).
• Start Session Recording if necessary.
• Use Collaborate Tools to engage students during the session.
• Remember that running other applications on your computer can slow your connection to the session.
