10 UTech Jamaica’s 65th Anniversary Logo Conrad Hunt Awarded Earn and Study Student Worker for Summer 2022-2023 The University’s Council at its meeting held on June 15, 2023, approved the 65th Anniversary Logo to be used during the period June 2023 – March 2024, with the theme: “UTech Jamaica Thrives at 65: Forging Technological Innovation, Driving Development”. The main objectives of the anniversary celebrations will be to celebrate the University’s milestones and achievements, to strengthen brand loyalty and capitalize on opportunities to mobilize resources for the University. The logo was designed by graphic artist, Mr. Ian Beckford, who was selected by the 65th Anniversary Committee to design the anniversary logo. Mr. Beckford, the winner of the 50th and 60th Anniversary Logo Design Competitions, is a UTech, Jamaica alumnus, who worked at the University for a number of years. Conrad Hunt, a final year student pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration (Marketing) has been named Student Worker of the Year for Summer 2022-3. The Department of Student Financing made the announcement while celebrating the hard work of student workers who participated in the programme at the Earn and Study Award ceremony, held in the Drawing Room at UTech, Ja. on August 11, 2023. Mr. Hunt who was placed in the School of Natural and Applied Science, within the Faculty of Science and Sport (FOSS) was commended for his professional skills, taking initiative and for being courteous and cooperative with his colleagues.
