13 August - September 2019 | VOICES Bi-Monthly Magazine of the University of Technology, Jamaica T he College of Health Sciences hosted its Annual Awards Ceremony on September 26, 2019 at the Alfred Sangster Auditorium to formally recognize students for outstanding academic achievements for academic years 2015/16 and 2016/17 and 2017/18. Dr Janet Campbell-Shelly, Dean, COHS, in her greeting, lauded the awardees for their hard work and dedication, but also thanked those who had made the students’ success possible, including academic and administrative staff, family and friends, and the companies and institutions with which the College collaborated over the years. College of Health Sciences Awards Student Excellence Ms. Lisa Scarlett, Assistant Lecturer, presents the Caribbean Association of Medical Technologists (Ja. Branch) Award for Most Outstanding Final Year Student to Janae Frazer for academic excellence in AY 2017/18. Ms. Modupeola Abayomi, Lecturer, presents Certificates for Outstanding Academic Performance in Pharmaceutical Technology I and II to Brittni Dockery, who copped multiple awards for Academic Excellence, including the Dr Marcia Williams Award for Best All-Round Student and the Federated Pharmaceutical Award for Best Performance in Pharmaceutics Theory Dr Adella Campbell (centre)Head, Caribbean School of Nursing with awardees Melissa-Ann Campbell and Javel McGowan, who copped the Dr Adella Campbell Award for Best All Round Student for Academic Years 2015/16 and 2016/17 respectively .
