Congratulations to team Xermosel who did their very best in their valiant efforts in the finals, placing fourth. The team received a plaque and a cheque for Two Hundred Thousand dollars ($200,000.00) to continue the development of their prototype. The team will proceed with efforts to take their product to market as they continue to push forward as young entrepreneurs. Xermosel is an ultraviolet pad or ring which when placed on or around a door knob kills 99.8% of bacteria, thereby reducing the risk of an individual contracting a germ upon contact. students talents in music, drama, dance and speech and in drumming and steel pan. T he symposium was organized by final year Banking and Finance major students in the School of Business and Management. Keynote speaker, Dr. Lokeng-Ngouna’s, in addressing symposium topic, argued that low potential growth in the region is driven by low factors of productivity which are due mainly to misallocation of resources. He contended that financial development can improve the allocation of resources in the economy which will provide for higher levels of growth. His presentation was followed by a panel discussion elaborating on the theme.
