VOICES Bi-Monthly Magazine of the University of Technology, Jamaica | August 2018 28 T he Department of Community Service and Development led members of staff and students in a Labour Day Project to restore and beautify the bathrooms and recreational area at Carberry Court Special School and to paint the curb wall at Danny Williams School for the Deaf. The UTech, Jamaica team also assisted with the excavation of the ramp constructed at Lister Mair Gilby School for the Deaf and participated in the bushing and cleaning of the road along which the schools are located. All three special schools are situated in close proximity to the University’s Papine Campus. Labour Day Project Students and members of staff engage in labour day projects at the Carberry Court Special School and the Danny Williams School for the Deaf.
