Name: Mark Ellis Course of Study: Bachelor of Laws College/Faculty: Law I think the university should celebrate its sixtieth anniversary by having more outreach programmes, community service outreach programmes to get the public involved in the university to give them a feel of how the university is and allow them to feel accepted even though they are not students. This would help in building persons’ character and developing their self-esteem at the same time. Name: Aldrene Rodney Course of Study: Bachelor of Education in Business Studies College/Faculty: Faculty of Education and Liberal Studies (FELS) STUDENT VOICES Personally, I do not want to attend a lecture, gathering or rally to celebrate the sixtieth. I am in SCIT so I would prefer them to give us some good computers. We are technology students and we are still working with Windows 7 computers. It is very inconvenient for us and slow. When we have to do our courses where we do lab tests, sometimes the computers just shut off and we have to start all over. So we would like for you to commemorate it by giving us some new computers. You could have one or two courses that include field trips or site visits. Name: Sanola Dunkley Course of Study: Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering College/Faculty: Faculty of Engineering and Computing I think UTech should celebrate its sixtieth anniversary by showcasing what the students are doing in each Faculty to investors or those persons in different industries for them to know what the students are capable of doing.
