This research paper was presented at the Advances in Hospitality & Tourism Marketing and Management (AHTMM) Conference in Guangzhou, China in July 2016. Book Chapter in the Routledge Handbook of Hospitality Marketing titled A Critical Review of five Hospitality Marketing Concepts . The chapter undertakes a critical review of five hospitality marketing concepts and their application to tourism destinations and hospitality businesses. Mrs. Donna Kelly Lecturer, School of Hospitality and Tourism Management Paper titled The Utility of Relationships in the Creation and Maintenance of an Event Portfolio published in the Journal of Marketing Practice: Applied Marketing Science. This co-authored study provides insight into the central importance of relationships in creating and maintaining an event portfolio. Dr. Earl Green, Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Engineering and Computing (FENC) and Mrs Charmaine DeLisser, Associate Professor, FENC Paper titled: Advancing a culture of effective energy statistics and information management. A study of the CARICOM economic space was published in the World Journal of Science, Technology and Sustainable Development. The paper identifies and analyzes the issues associated with the use of modern energy statistics and information management (ESIM) constructs as information sharing and decision-making mechanisms in the Caribbean community (CARICOM). Mrs. Kerry-Ann Rodney-Wellington Head, Instructional Media Services Unit, Calvin McKain Library Co-authored research paper, Multimedia and Cognitive: Teacher Librarians’ Perception of Cognitive Effects of Multimedia Learning in Selected School Libraries in the Caribbean published in the Caribbean Journal of Education. The objectives of the study were to determine what types of multimedia resources are present in selected school libraries in the Caribbean and the effects that multimedia learning has on students’ cognitive abilities. Dr. Locksley Henry Lecturer, School of Business Administration Presented a paper titled, The Influence of Culture on International Negotiation Styles:A Comparative Cross-Cultural Analysis of Jamaica and US Negotiators at the 2017 Academy of International Business (AIB) US Southeast Annual Conference in Washington DC, USA, October 2017. The paper examined negotiating styles and choices which are key factors in determining successful outcomes in cross-cultural negotiations.
