Stephen Vasciannie, CD, President, University of Technology, Jamaica on Friday, October 13, 2017 welcomed Dr. Julius Garvey, son of Jamaica’s first national hero, Marcus Garvey at a courtesy call on the President at the Papine campus. Discussions during the courtesy call included the tenets of Garvey ideology and opportunities for teaching Garveyism at the tertiary level. Dr. Garvey visited the UTech campus as a guest of the student led club, African Cultural Renaissance Movement where he met and interacted with students.
