T he UTech Alumni Association held its 5K Run/Walk on Sunday, November 5, 2017 under the theme, “Run Walk for Excellence!” The annual charity event is aimed primarily at raising funds to assist financially challenged UTech, Jamaica students. Over 200 participants including UTech, Ja and high school student athletes, staff, alumni, Paralympians and members of the public turned out for the 5K Run/Walk which commenced at the Papine campus at 7:00 am and proceed through the community of Hope Pastures, its immediate environs and the Hope Botanical Gardens before ending at the front field at the Papine campus followed by an awards ceremony.
