The cost for each type of accounting state- ment can also be ascertained from the Student Financial Service Unit in the Department of Student Financing. R E G I S T R AT I O N C E N S U S D AT E The University’s Registration Census Date for semester one of the 2019/20 academic year is Friday, September 13, 2019. The Census date for Semester 2 and the Summer Session will be announced before the start of each registration period. The Census Date is one of the most important dates for a student to know each semester; as it is the final date for students to indicate to the University their intentions for that semester. The Census Date is the final date to: • select modules and confirm enrolment • get financial clearance without penalties • submit add/drop request without penalties I M P L I C AT I O N S O F T H E R E G I S T R AT I O N C E N S U S D AT E Any confirmed modules which remain on the system after the Census Date, would be consid- ered an indication from the student that: • s/he intends to be in school for that semester; • the modules confirmed are the ones the student will undertake; • the modules confirmed are the ones for which the student should be held liable. Essentially by confirming the modules as at the Census Date, a student has given the University the go-ahead to provide the required resources for teaching and learning for that semester.
