MSc., Natural Resource Management (2000)-University of the West Indies, Kingston, Jamaica. BSc., Pure and Applied Chemistry (1998) - University of the West Indies, Kingston, Jamaica. Summary of Teaching Experience at UTech, Ja. Started at UTech, Ja. in August 2008 teaching Organic Chemistry, General Chemistry and Biochemistry. Summary of Research Involved in research inareas suchas carbon nanotube mediatedmicroscale membrane extraction, microscale membrane extraction of trace contaminants, trace monitoring of new and emerging pollutants that led to the development of novel analytical techniques for water monitoring. This included the development of lab-on-a-chip device for monitoring trace level arsenic. This led to the award of grant funding of over US$30,000 by the United States Geological Survey andthe NewJersey Water Resources Research Institute (USGS/NJWRRI) and eventually a US Patent on Carbon Nanotube Mediated Membrane Extraction. I have also published number of peer-reviewed publications and presented at numerous conferences locally and internationally. Summary of Service I have served on numerous UTech Ja committees including Facilities Management Advisory Committee, Student Affairs Committee, Space Management Committee, UTech, Ja Press, Governance Committee and the Procurement Committee. I have also served on national committees/Boards such as the National Commission on Science andTechnology ,National InnovationAwards Committee,National Coordinating Committee for Science and Technology Month,South Africa-Jamaica Joint Committee on Science and Technology Cooperation, Nature Preservation Foundation Board of Directors, lnter-ministerialTaskforce on Safeguarding and Protecting Children in Sport, NEPA Game Birds Working Group and National Anti-Doping in Sport Compliance Committee.
