Driving Development University of Technology, Jamaica ACADEMIC STAFF PROMOTIONS TO THE RANK OF SENIOR LECTURER Mrs. Anthonette Patterson-Bartley is a Registered Nurse, Registered Midwife, Nurse-Manager, Global Nursing Leader, Nurse Advocate, and Nurse Educator with over 28 years of professional nursing and nursing education experience. 20 of which included serving in a secondary healthcare facility, where she taught, managed and precepted. She joined the Caribbean School of Nursing in January 2015 and has served in various positions within the school, including Acting Head of School, Program Director, Module coordinator, and Chair of the COHS staff welfare committee. She has taught 13 modules across the Bachelor of Science degrees in nursing and Midwifery and has made guest lecture appearances in the area of social Psychology at external higher education institutions. Mrs. Patterson-Bartley has earned numerous academic accolades in nursing, including general nursing, midwifery, psychiatric nursing, nursing management/administration, psychology, bereavement counselling, item writing, and global nursing leadership. She is currently a student in the Doctor of Nursing Practice course of study. She has participated in research, supervised capstone projects, and is an abstract reviewer for the annual International Council of Nurses Conference. She has impacted the university community by actively participating in committees such as Curriculum, Quality Assurance, Research and Ethics, and Accreditation. A Justice of the Peace for Kingston, Mrs. Patterson-Bartley is acclaimed as a transformational leader.
