Across social media profiles, LinkedIn continued to attract the largest following with over 27K followers. The Facebook Alumni Relations UTech, Jamaica account experienced a growth rate of 19% for this period. Further Engagement Highlights y Alumni Blog - In 2019, 187 posts were published, attracting viewership of 82,060 y Facebook Alumni Relations UTech Ja Account - Membership grew from 1,788 in the previous period to 1,883 (+95; 5.3%) y Facebook Fan Page membership grew from 1,681 in the previous period to 1,741 (+60; 4%) y Facebook Group membership grew from 1,929 in the previous period to 2,039 (+110, 6%) y Facebook Alumni Job Club - Membership grew from 637 in the previous period to 758 (+121; 19%) y The University’s LinkedIn page followership grew from 22,309 in the previous period to 27,473 followers (+5,164; 23.1%) y Twitter Followers grew from 1,108 in previous period to 1,143 (+35; 3%) y Walk-in/Phone/Internet/Email Customer Service Contacts for the period were 105 y Volunteers in UTech. Jamaica & Alumni Events for the period were 56 y Recruitment requests from corporate/private/ public sector organizations were 11 requests To Connect Alumni to the University Professor Stephen Vasciannie, President, hosted a session of the “President’s Discussion Series” on June 26, 2019, themed “Here’s What I Expect of UTech”. The session featured Alumnus Dr. Horace Williams, Senior Lecturer, and former HR Director, representing retirees; Alumna Mrs. Hermine Metcalfe, Pharmacist and Distinguished Past Student Awardee 2019, representing alumni; and Mrs. Genefa Hibbert, Chief Operations and Projects Officer, representing staff. The first issue of the new Alumni electronic newsletter, Alumni Connections, commissioned by Professor Stephen Vasciannie, was published and shared with the Alumni Community in August 2019.
