University of Technology, Jamaica 35 mentioned companies were given the approval to be on the campus for the academic year 2019/2020. Work and Travel Site Visit 2019 During June 24-29, 2019 the Career and Placement Officer visited overseas sites at which the students would participate in the Work and Travel Programme for the Summer. The sites visited included Florida recruiters and housing and Washington recruiters and housing, Virginia. INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS International Students’ Reception The annual International Students’ Reception was held on, September 26, 2019 at the Lillian’s Restaurant. Over 50 international students attended the reception, along with the Deputy President, University Registrar, Assistant Registrar, Student Services, Director, Safety and Security and other members of staff. International Day 2020 The University of Technology International Students’ Association (UTISA), in collaboration with the International Students’ Office held its annual International Day on February 14, 2019. Thirty-two (32) students participated in the event.
