These were 2 persons from COBAM AND 3 FROM FELS. Staff members pursuing short courses at UTech, Jamaica A total of 12 staff members received 70 waiver of fees to pursue short course at UTech, Jamaica amounting to J$1,000,670.00 for the period April 2018 – March 2019. Waiver to Staff & their Dependents - Study- ing at UTech April 2018 – March 2019 Table 4 below shows that for the period April 2018 – March 2019, a total of 139 staff members were pursuing Bachelors, Masters and Doctoral studies both at UTech, Jamaica and at other Universities locally and internationally at a cost of $21,200,637.80. It also shows that an average of 361 staff dependents was pursuing undergraduate studies at UTech, Jamaica at a cost of $42,369,312.60. The table further shows that a total of 71 staff members received study loan to pursue studies both at UTech, Jamaica and other universities amounting to $23,161,491.83. STAFF RECOGNITION The 48 th University Annual Awards Ceremony was held on May 31, 2018 under the theme “Celebrating Excellence: Pioneering Past, Bright Future”.
