Accredited by the University Council of Jamaica (UCJ) ANNUAL REPORT 2018-2019 University of Technology, Jamaica 50 College of Business and Management Professor Paul Golding Dean Accreditation The Bachelor of Science in Food Service Management and Bachelor of Science in Hospitality and Tourism Management received programmatic accreditation from the University Council of Jamaica during the reporting period. New Course of Study The Associate of Science Degree in Baking and Pastry Arts in the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management was approved by the University and will be offered in the Academic year 2019-2020. This course of study aims to provide effective leadership training in the preparation and service of baked products on a national, regional and international level. Student Scholarships/Awards - Rochelle Tapper, Taneek Smith and Kourtney Cowan were awarded the Emerging Leaders in the Americas Program (ELAP) Scholarship for semester 1, AY 2018/19 to undertake studies in Hospitality and Tourism Management at the Humber College in Canada. - Renee Hussey, a second year student pursuing Hospitality and Tourism Management received the Red Stripe - Desnoes and Geddes 100th Scholarship Award on December 3, 2018. - Onieka Beadle, Allia Morris, Jada Muschamp, Ramona Levy, Alexia Wittick and Orieon Wizzard Food Service Management students received full scholarship from the Jamaica Observer for academic year 2018/19 A/Y. • School of Business Administration • School of Hospitality and Tourism Management • Joan Duncan School of Entrepreneurship, Ethics and Leadership • School of Advanced Management College of Business & Management celebrates programme accreditation
