President’s Advisory on Reopening of University Campuses and Resumption of Face-to-Face Classes
I hope that all staff and students are safe following the passage of Tropical Storm Rafael, and I urge you to continue to keep safe as we recover from the effects of the passage of the weather system.
The University will be reopened for normal operations and scheduled classes on Thursday, November 7, 2024.
I extend my sincere appreciation to our management team, faculty, and staff, led by our Facilities Management Department, for your prompt and thorough efforts in conducting assessments and cleanup operations across all campuses today. Your dedication has been essential in ensuring that our campuses are safe and ready for the return of both staff and students.
We recognize that some persons may continue to face challenges due to disruptions caused by the storm. Staff members unable to return to campus physically are asked to inform their supervisors and arrange for remote work to ensure business continuity in their areas of responsibility. Students experiencing specific difficulties should contact their respective college or faculty for support and guidance.
Please continue to stay safe as we recover from the effects of the storm.
Yours sincerely,
Dr. Kevin Brown
President
